The Department of French Studies and Modern Languages in collaboration with the AUP Library invites you to the screening of:
SKY’S THE LIMIT, les peintres de l’extrême
Directed by Jérôme Thomas
Thursday 25 April at Combes (C 102)
Dive into the extra-ordinary adventures of a film not like any other. Shot by shot Jerome Thomas captures the performances of the most famous urban artists: Astro, Boronda, C212, Spy, Katre, Inti…: Who hides behind these pseudonyms? What drives these artists to paint up higher and higher?
Beyond their artistic performance, the director also explores the social, political and architectural implications at the heart of this artistic movement that continues to grow in popularity the world over.
Come share with us this visual experience and discover the transformation of painted surfaces of Paris, its suburbs and other cities the world over.
The projection will be followed by a debate with Jerôme Thomas.
The French Club and AUP Library will provide refreshments.
If you have invited guests outside the AUP community, please send their names to firstname.lastname@example.org before April 22. They will be asked to present an identity card.
