Master Thesis Workshop
Librarian, Jorge Sosa, will be explaining the purpose of the standards, the content and practical steps to take. 

The short presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.

Zotero Citation Manager – Take your research to the next level!
Zotero is a free citation manager that allows you to save citation information while searching and browsing the Web. With a single click, Zotero saves citations and enables you to create customized bibliographies in standard citation styles, including MLA, Chicago and APA.

This workshop will provide an overview of basic features of Zotero such as: installing Zotero, adding citations to your Zotero library, organizing and managing your citations, creating a bibliography, and using the Microsoft Word plug-in to easily insert citations from Zotero into your documents.

Literature Review Workshop

This workshops is intended to help you do research for your literature review assignments. After attending the session, you will know how to research for literature on your given topic. You will have a clearer idea what a literature review is and what it looks like. Sign up for the workshop or feel free to email one of the librarians in case the proposed times do not work.

Annotated Bibliographies Workshop
This workshop is intended to help you do research for your annotated bibliography assignments. After attending the session, you will know how to research for an annotated bibliography on your given topic. In a perfect world, you will walk out of the workshop with your list of sources and start writing your annotations. In the end, you will have a clearer idea what an annotated bibliography is and what it looks like. Sign up for the workshop or feel free to email one of the librarians in case the proposed times do not work.

Beyond AUP Library – useful tools to expand your research! 

In this workshop you will learn how to retrieve and request materials for your research projects.  We will go over some of the tools that can help you access free sources faster and find related works:   

LibKey Nomad – automatically provides instant links to articles from journals subscribed to by your library. 

Google Scholar – Get access to full text from AUP Library when searching for scholarly journal articles even when you are off-campus. 

Open Access – Retrieve scholarly literature freely accessible and reusable for everyone  with : Open Access Button /Click and Read/Unpaywall  

ILL (Inter Library Loan) – You cannot locate the full text? Ask for books or articles that the library can request for you. 

Research Rabbit – AI (Artificial Intelligence) can help you explore similar papers, references, and citations in your original resource. You can also explore additional works by the author and suggested authors, as well as linked content.
